All of coffee’s benefits. None of the coffee.
Section 89 was born in Utah, where a huge share of people opt out of coffee and tea but still want the ritual: the grind, the pull, the warm cup, the focus. We grew up around that gap. Nobody was building a real specialty bar for the people who never got one — so we did.
The name is a nod to Doctrine & Covenants section 89 — the passage whose official reading draws the line at coffee and tea, not caffeine. We took that line seriously and built an entire formulary inside it. The circular seal you see across the site is our own mark, not a religious symbol.
Not “fake coffee.” Clean, precisely dosed, sustained focus — with the ritual of a real coffee bar. We roast botanicals with real coffee equipment, print the caffeine in milligrams on every bag, and let you dial your level from 0 to 150 mg. Compliance is a feature. Focus is the point.
